Hello! My name is Journey and I love to explore the outdoors. I base my adventures from my home in San Antonio, Texas. Sometimes my destinations are just a car ride away, but other times, they involve exhausting flights to far away locations. This site covers not only my adventures, but the conditioning and training that helps me keep up. Thank you for being a part of the Journey!
My parents are active people and enjoy hiking miles and miles of trails. Days after I was born, I joined them at Pikes Peak and Rocky Mountain National Park. Since then, I have had numerous outings including traveling to 40 US National Parks. I've also climbed Manitou Incline, hiked the Vortexes in Sedona and visited Maroon Bells. Once I learned to walk at 10 months, I could hike a mile on my own. I get stronger and more conditioned with every day's hike; I am hooked. Since starting this Journey, I have climbed mountains and bathed in rivers and Oceans. I have gone in caves and up canyons. Experiences and connections with nature is what matters most.
Every day, get outdoors and experience nature. If you get the opportunity, visit a National Park. The experience is therapeutic and spiritual. It's not easy traveling to these places and sometimes the elements are harsh. My stories and tips might not be for where you are, but you can adapt them to your own adventure. What challenges you today?
